As Fall sets in we find ourselves in a traveling mood. Airplanes may be most traveler’s first option when thinking of how to get away, but we prefer to travel by train whenever possible. Most airports are cold and impersonal. Standing in lines like cattle, hoping to find space at an overcrowded charging station and the unrelenting blasts of cold air while you hurry up and wait in the terminal are but a few of the drawbacks of air travel. Train travel is a bit more personal, authentic, and frankly old world. Taking in the scenery as it unravels in the twists and turns of the track.
For our travels we were outfitted with some of Original Penguin’s Fall 2014 Collection essential pieces. A chunky Raglan sleeve cable knit sweater, lightweight Paisley print bomber and a heavyweight denim button up shirt each have a place in any man’s wardrobe on their own; but combine them and they make a handsome combination for rugged travel in comfort and style.
The man who travels today doesn’t need or want to do so with an entourage of steamer trunks. Instead, the well-heeled man wants to be light and nimble while staying warm, modern and chic. Layers are the key to accomplishing this look and these pieces from Penguin are only an example of how the journeyman can travel rakishly no matter what mode of transportation he chooses. Join us as we take to the trains. See you on the other side of the tracks.
