Established in 1970, the National Black MBA Association is dedicated to develop partnerships that result in the creation of intellectual and economic wealth in the black community. In partnership with over 400 of the country's top business organizations, the association has inroads into a wide range of industries as well as the public and private sector. Yet all of NBMBAA's partners have one thing in common: they are all committed to the organization's goals and values.

IG is pleased to announce our participation as a gust speaker at the 34th annual National Black MBA Associaiton Conference and Exposition in Indianapolis, IN. We are humbled and honored to be joining an expert panel of speakers with much more knowledge, influence and notoriety.   We will be speaking to 200-300 individuals anywhere from 25-45 years of age all with advanced degrees and/or in pursuit of one.   Or presentation is entitled "Your Image as a Brand" and the topic will cover creating, evolving, and maintaining your personal brand on and offline.  Over our years of writing and speaking we've tried to present ourselves in the best and most stylish way we know how.  It seems as though someone has noticed, and we're grateful.

Topics will include "Your brand online",  "The new digital resume",  and "Verizon’s digital tool belt". Open to all full registrants attending the NBMBAA conference.

Education and professional development are very important and highly regarded in the African-American community. Verizon is a brand that wants to celebrate the stories of the business community and, through their National Black MBA partnership, to provide African-American professionals with the tools and information needed to advance their lives. The entrepreneurial spirit is also very strong in the African-American community. Many African-Americans create innovative new businesses while retaining a full-time job. Verizon is also committed to growing the African-American business community and offering business solutions to address their needs.

The goal of participating in the NBMBAA annual conference is to engage affluent and professional consumers, and to provide education and best practices related to Verizon products and services.   The tone of this session will be based on innovation and will be thought-provoking and solutions-based. The opening of the session will feature a business influencer who is identified as a guru in the business realm discussing best practices based on their personal story. This influencer will set up the session, will provide key insights and will break down all of the necessary elements for perfecting one’s personal brand.
