This post brought to you by Carmex®. All opinions are 100% mine. Fall weather is harsh on the skin.  Wind, rain, cold, and dramatic temperature swings can wreak havoc on a man's biggest organ--his skin.  We recently were offered some samples of hand cream by the 70 year old Carmex® Healing Lotion and Carmex® Healing Cream manufacturer.  We've tried them out over the last few days and have been satisfied by the feel and smell of the product.  The hand cream doesn't leave my hands greasy and my skin feels rejuvenated after it sets in.  The cream also has a light, pleasant scent of vanilla.  After being satisfied with Carmex we thought we'd offer some guidance on the delicate issue of moisturizing.

1.  A good moisturizer should keep your skin hydrated but not greasy or oily.  The best time to apply is while your hand's or body is a bit moist so the emollients can set into the pores.  Try applying just after a shower.

2.  A fall/winter moisturizer should be heavier and thicker than a lightweight summer hand cream.  Try something with shea butter-- a natural moisturizer found in cocoa butter.

3.  All areas that are rough and/or dry should be moisturized.  This includes hands, feet, elbows, knees, face or any other area a beautiful woman might want to touch or feel.

4.  Keep it to a minimum.  While its good to have smooth, moisturized hands,  a man shouldn't forget he is man and taking things overboard isn't becoming of a gentleman.  Apply whenever your skin is dry but avoid being compared to a psycho by repeated unnecessary applications.
