Northern Grade, the national roving marketplace, featuring U.S. made menswear, accessories and collectibles will host its first show in DC Friday, May 29 through Sunday, May 31. Union Market’s Dock 5 space will serve as the location for the weekend marketplace. As in previous editions Norther Grade will feature all manner of Americana from well know brands such as Filson to lesser known mom and pop shops. Local participants include Mutiny and Federal, two of DC's best known Americana retailers.
Founded and launched in Minneapolis by husband and wife team Mark and Katherine McMillian--also co-owners of neckwear retailer Pierrepont Hicks--Northern Grade has traveled to Austin, Moscow, New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. “We have produced 21 events all around the country over the last few years, but this will be the most diverse line up of brands we have ever had involved in terms of style and product offerings” says Katherine McMillan.
